The Holiday Cottages

Self-catering holiday cottages, Alnwick, Northumberland.The Byre and The Granary are two feature filled stone self catering holiday cottages, converted from former farm buildings. Situated a quarter of a mile down a private drive and overlooking the River Aln. Just one mile away is the historic and picturesque town of Alnwick with its cobbled streets, busy market place, and a wide variety of shops and eating places. The Castle and the spectacular Gardens are also within a few minutes drive or a interesting walk along the banks of the River Aln for the more energetic (approx 2 miles)

Ideally located between Cheviot Hills and magnificent Heritage Coast. Perfect base for beaches, castles, walking, bird watching, golfing, fishing, and National Trust properties – or just relaxing.

The Byre is a beautiful and cosy cottage which has been recently renovated to a very high standard. It opened in September 2017. Sleeps two people and contains

  • fully equipped kitchen with Dishwasher, Washing machine, Tumble Dryer, Fridge Freezer, Nespresso coffee machine and all the utensils you could possibly need.
  • bedroom with double bed, quality linen, full size wardrobe, chest of drawers and space for a cot if required.
  • bathroom with roll top claw footed bath and separate shower unit.
  • open plan living area with comfortable seating and large kitchen dining area and feature arched windows overlooking the garden.
  • full central heating throughout with ease wall control.

The Granary is a brand new cottage opened in January 2018. It has been renovated to the very highest standard with brand new, modern and tasteful decor and furnishings throughout. Sleeps 4 people and contains

  • fully equipped kitchen with Dishwasher, Washing machine, Tumble Dryer, Fridge Freezer, Nespresso coffee machine and all the utensils you could possibly need.
  • bedroom with kingsize bed, quality linen, full size wardrobe, chest of drawers and space for a cot if required.
  • ensuite shower room to main bedroom.
  • large second bedroom with twin beds, quality linen, full size wardrobe, chest of drawers and space for a cot if required.
  • bathroom with bath and separate shower unit.
  • open plan living area with comfortable seating area and large well equipped kitchen and dining area.

The cottages are non-smoking and we are unable to accommodate pets.

Both cottages have private gardens with garden furniture.

Safe parking is adjacent to the cottages and secure storage for bicycles is available.

Prices are inclusive of central heating, power, linen, towels and cleaning.

WiFi is available free of charge within the cottage.
